The Lion City

[ 3 Nov to 5 Nov 2018 ]

This time I ventured further down South to the Lion City.
It was another spontaneous trip this time as I crashed at a friend's place.

I started my journey by getting lost to TBS but I was still on time.
The whole journey took me 8 hours to reach Lavender MRT and I can assure you my butt became flat. Bus arrived an hour late at 12am and customs took me a good 2 hours plus.

Luckily, I don't require lots of sleep for trips and once I touched down and met up with my friend, I had breakfast and went to MacRitchie Reservoir for a morning walk. Then it was the touristy stuff like MBS, Art Science Museum and Gardens by the Bay. My friend and I got lost on the way to the Gardens and we took 20-30mins from MBS there and when returning we realized it usually take only 10 minutes. That contributed quite an amount to my 30+k steps that day. We were also lucky to catch some Disney songs performance at the Esplanade.

This would be my favorite spot in the Art Science Museum - The Cosmos. Bought the tickets from Klook and spent some time just chilling inside. The ticket is about SGD $16.

And we ended the day with Tou Fu Fah and bubba at Rochor Beancurd House which opens 24 hours. The Singaporeans do love their bubbles.

The second day was a much relax day with a walk in Orchard Road, ION Orchard's Instagram-worthy library and Clarke Quay. The sweet potato at Donki Donki Hote was so good and sweet. We were lucky to have only wait for 1 min. Plus that Donki Donki song is really addictive.

I picked out this book and read about Dominique Ansel Bakery who has bakeries world wide and are famous for their signature cronut and more.

The last day I explored the Botanical Gardens and China Town to grab some eggtarts from Tong Heng (Which I googled and found to be one of the best eggtarts in Singapore, but I personally prefer the ones back home) for my friend as a surprised as she thought I would get lost again as I literally leeched off her esp for directions. But my survival instinct kicked in and City Mapper has a option for saving your journey offline ;)

My journey home was a more enjoyable ride as it only took 5 hours from Singapore to TBS.
While waiting for my delayed bus (again), I had lunch at this random store and weirdly the aunty likes me that she helped to scoop few types of chilies  asked me where was I from and where I was heading and I replied her with my limited proficiency of Hokkien.

So I guess this would be the last mini trip from me for the year.
Can't believe another year is ending.
