Japan Trip : Day 5 -Tsukiji Market, Kappabashi, Kichijogi

Day 5 : Tsukiji Market > Kappabashi > Asakusa > Kichijoji

1. TSUKIJI FISH MARKET

Going there : Asakusa Subway Station > Higashi Ginza Station
(Its very near to Asakusa if you are staying there)

Renown for being the world's largest, busiest fish market has been a top destination for tourists.
It is separated to the inside and outside market.
Some people wake up at 5am to catch the live tuna auctions but some are not open for public.
Some would visit here for the freshest sushi.
For us, we just visited for the experience as everywhere is super packed.

However, a very important note is that do not get in the way of the sellers.
They must be annoyed with so many tourist flogging the market everyday.

Proud seller

Senseis.

Very busy morning. Most likely everyday.

Checking the Tuna.

Ice needed to keep the products fresh.

We were chase down after this. But worth the shot.

2. KAPPABASHI > ASAKUSA

Going there : 15-20 minutes walking distance from Asakusa station

After visiting the famous Tsukiji Market, we headed  to Kappabashi which is actually walking distance from Asakusa station.

It is a must go for cooking-enthusiast as it has some of the finest cutlery & kitchenwares

The future chef in our group insisted that we should go.

While walking back, we visited a local post office to post post cards back to ourselves.
Its a must do thing from now on! :)

Kappa Kawataro Statue
Built in 2003 for business prosperity.

After walking around Kappabashi, we decided to head back to our bnb for some rest as our legs were super tired.

3. KICHIJOGI (Studio Ghibli Museum)

Simon & Martina from eat your kimchi lives here and we were excited at the thought we were breathing the same air as them. *fangirls alert*
This place is a little far out of central Tokyo but we wanted to visit the places introduced by them.

Anyways, we walked our way through the beautiful park towards Ghibli Studio.
Unfortunately tickets were sold out way before we reach Japan as it is pretty limited.
But still the walk was worth-ed it.

But at least we took pictures with master Totoro at the entrance!

English are available some place. But just a little bit!
The shop owner have some humor.

4. KICHIJOGI (CAT CAFE - TEMARI NO OUCHI てまりのおうち)

This would be one of our favorite spots. The cats are really clean and well behaved.
But do take note to make reservations earlier on as it might be quite full.
The best thing is there is no time limit unlike most pet cafes!
You will not regret coming here as it is filled with so many cute kittys!

Opening Hours : 10am - 9pm
Entrance Feee : 1,200 yen per person on weekdays & 1,600 yen on weekends.
Tips : It is only 700 yen after 7.00pm if you are on budget.Which is what we chose!
