Japan Trip : Day 2 - Asakusa

DAY 2 : Haneda Airport > Asakusa

6AM : Seconds before they off the lights of Tokyo Tower! Lucky

Departed from the airport around 5AM and the sky was already bright.
When we first step foot onto the first train, we were impressed how smooth and on time it was compared to the ones in Malaysia.

Since the check in times for airbnbs in Japan are 4pm, we placed our luggage at lockers which are easily found around most stations. Priced around 500 Yen for Medium, 700 Yen for Large ones. A large one could fit two small luggage.

Our Airbnb was located in Asakusa, thus we planned to spend the whole day around this area.

1. SENSOJI TEMPLE
How to go : Asakusa Station

Sensoji Temple at 7:30AM: Tokyo's oldest Temple.

Tip : It was pretty empty as we were there since 6am. The crowd starts picking up at 8am and by 10am, its fully packed.

O-mikuji : Fortune written on strips of paper.
Tie your bad luck when you've gotten a bad prediction to leave the bad luck behind.
Kitty Umbrella & Pink Rain Boots

Temizuya Water Pavilion at temples to wash away impurities in your heart & physical self.
Streets of Asakusa after the rain

Random Udon shop in Asakusa.
But we love it as it gives an authentic Japanese eatery feel.

Whenever you see this, you know they sell ice creams <3

Pedestrian in Asakusa. You can visit the Tourist Center opposite the Kaminari-mon Gate.

View of Nakamise & Kaminari-mon Gate from the Tourist Center.
It is absolutely free!

The other side of the Tourist Center observation deck is Tokyo Sky Tree.

After that, we finally got to check into our room and since it was self check-in, we had to do a little challenge before we got the key which was pretty cool ;)
Moments after that, we slept for 3 hours to recharge as we didn't sleep much since the night before before heading out for dinner.

Dinner @ Yakitori Dojo.
An izakaya we just randomly pop in cause we don't want to do all those touristy stuff.

Comes with a cold salad which is always my favorite.

Hanger for your outerwear. They are just so thoughtful!
Yummy yakitori

Salmon Slices

Walk on the streets at night. Feels so safe to walk around.

Familiar scenes from animes I've watched

It has everything you need in such a small place! Impressive

Good space for their toilet. And Japanese loves their bath tubs.
